Help - Food quality clear coat for painted mugs? - Other Crafts

I will sculpt/carve it, Primer it, hand paint it and detail, clear coat. I am after a food quality clear coat that can go over the paint. It is likely that the paint will be enamel as I will probably use pinstriping paint. Any help is appreciated!
