I dunno if there is such a thing as a food safe clear coat for polymer and epoxy clays. I'd worry about any toxins leeching out of the epoxy through the clear coat.

On the other hand, I do know that MagicSculp is the BOMB! I absolutely love that stuff. Here is my 2004 Jacob Marley Halloween costume made with paper mache and magicsculp:
