TikiBird, Vertical Epic 06.06.06 is great, a Dark Belgian Trappist-style Dubbel, but without the Kandi sugar & with a Dark Wheat malt. Dark, dark, dark, almost black but with a tiny ruby at it's heart when you hold it up to the light, with a lt. brown/tan head. Nose is classic Trappist Phenols and a smoky roastiness from the Dark Wheat malt. Taste is cloves & spice, yeast, roasted malt, minor hoppiness, with a deep malty mouthfeel and good, not high, CO2. It finishes fairly dry but not short, with the alcohol showing at the back. I picked up 3 from the last case they had at the Stone Store, I've hidden two from myself for a year or so from now. They've already sold out at the liquor store up the street from me, I hope you picked yours up already.
