After reading many of your posts and reading about The Hukilau coming up, I feel like I have a new home with perhaps some familiar faces. Back in the late 70's, I was a seating captain in the Mai Kai when Mr. Thornton was still alive. The maitre'd was Eddie Tatton (who owns a popular Thai restaurant now)and I worked at the Mai Kai for several years. Many great memories and stories! I have a couple pics that I can scan of me on the job that I will gladly share with you. Who knows? I may have even sat some of the members here at their table in the Bangkok Room or even in the Garden! Anyway, I'm glad to have found this place and I hope to meet you soon!
