There is a really old place in Pico Rivera, Ca called the “Wagon Wheel”.

.Established in 1943. It was originally a house that sat across the street from the marine reserve auxillary on old Bevery Rd.

The GI’s wanted a place to drink and the lady that owned the house started setting up bar in her living room.

The men sat on casks and the place was eventually turned into a bar/café.

“Manny” the current proprietor has owned it for the last 27 years. They serve the best tasting burgers there! And have the coldest beer in town.

I missed the annual luau for his birthday where they roast a pig out on the rock grotto in the back patio , have hula dancers and

decorate the place all tikiish.

The clientele there is mostly locals but on Sundays they cater to the biker crowd.

If you want a really good burger and some cheap drinks in an old timey setting its a bit of a dive but is a fun place to hang out.
