Modmana: No bubble bursted. just wanted to offer it up at a lower price if anyone wanted it before they were outbid by someone outside of the TC family, if they even want it at all. Everyone in san Diego may have passed on this, but I was trying to offer it up in case someone outside of san diego had not seen it yet.

It comes out to $4.06 each per mug, for the whole set...I know what tiki farm wholesale cost is for mugs...

This is fun for me. I've never talked about mugs before. this is like pissed off talk radio stuff. You guys are one fired up bunch of people. You guys ever come to blows over this stuff? Man, I'm into it!!!

I have a new idea. Non San Diego people may not understand the complexities of it, I'm sorry, but here we go. I now know this:

  1. This tiki mug collection is so bad, that no one will ever want it
  2. Even though no one likes the collection as a whole, each person has a piece that he/she covets that is in it
  3. I offered it for sale, because if it sold, I got a more than reasonable cut from the transaction. That is why I even involved myself with this collection in the first place.

This is why we wanted to move it now: I was trying to talk Cobain into moving this collection out so we could get more original tiki stuff in the store that would turn over quicker than this collection. Like you guys said, its been there for years and busloads of people have passed it up. Why not replace it with something fresh?, I thought.

I have a new plan now. Step 1:I'm going to tell Cobain how bad his mug collection is tomorrow. Upon hearing this, he will realize that the whole thing is worthless. I'm going to convince him that it is so worthless, in fact, that it is actually a liability owning it. I will also tell him it is like the stock market, and the value of it is continuing to go down every day. Eventually, I will convince him to give it to me outright, to relieve him of the financial burden that it is, before he actually has to make payments on it. Step 2: Upon receiving the collection, i will receive instant tiki credibility for having such a wide and diverse collection of tiki mugs, including some very collectable ones. I love my tiki bobs! I will use the space in the store to show off my collection, like a museum. Instead of the for sale sign, I'm going to put a sign up that says "Buzzy's Mug Collection!" then I'm going to make up a fake story about how I spent the last several years watching the Ebay countdown and getting to the swap meet early to ensure that I found all these little tiki treasures. Then, Cobain and I will sit around the store and laugh about the time he tried to sell his collection...Too bad about that idea I had to get different stuff in the store. And I was trying to do nice...
Fighting is more fun anyway: I like to fight, but we should close this thread before it gets ugly...Unless you guys are just stirring it up like I have been, because it's fun! If that is the case, then please, continue... this is more fun than a Global Warming debate... Round Three: Ding! Ding!
