James did it straight tiki most of the time, but, you have to make money and you have to draw people in. He didn't start with the hip-hop, it became a required evil. The real reason the place closed wasn't not a matter of business and customers, but of partners that screwed the works. The business was fine and the place was doing well, or at least well enough. Besides, have you never seen "8 Mile"? Eminem is down with the tiki!
