As far as I can recall, it did look an awful lot like the postcard rendering, and there was an open-air courtyard in the center - very exotic. I do, however, vividly remember that it was the first place I ever took a girl out on a date, back in '79! It is indeed now The Cheesecake Factory, a very good but decidedly un-beachcomber-like restaurant. I have a handful of the glass tumblers pictured above, and (get this) a "Beachbum Burt's Coconut Monkey drink mug", carved out of a coconut, complete with eyes, shell-teeth and a miniature straw hat! I've never seen a BBB drink menu, so I really don't know what was served in it, but I've never seen another one like it.

TwoWheelin', the next time we get together, I'll bring you a glass and we can work out a trade or something...
