Weniki...Nice photo of Punalu'u black sand beach. I was there and it was awesome!

Why aren't you considering the BI before the mainland ? Puna is WAY more affordable than Oahu...Then again, if your hubby is a Military man, I'm not sure he'll like Puna....it's hippie central over there from what i hear, but that's changing due to all the baby boomers retiring there. Houses for in the 3's, plots for under 100k...build a house on a plot, and keep that rainforest lifestyle. But there isn't much there in the way of shopping, but how long can it stay that way ? You can only keep a (reasonably) good thing a secret for so long...I think the cat is out of the bag with Puna...unfortunately I'm a little late on it (of course...story of my life), but there still may be hope yet.

Alot of people are moving to North Carolina...I know alot of people from my old digs (long island) that are going there in droves. I don't get it. North Carolina to me is just zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Hawaii just sounds way more exciting, even Middle of Nowhere Hawaii :)

Anyway...great pics...keep em coming.
