No marking on it at all. To my eye it looks like a New Guinea area drum. I may be able to track down some info if I'm lucky. There was a tag on the lamp from an auction house. The man I purchased the lamp from said he bought it from this auction house. I have the lot number and the day of the sale. so tomorrow I'll try to call them and see if they have any records of where the piece came from.
