Wow what a great weekend! Saw some old friends and made some new ones. Even Friday night was a fun start with dancing and hula-hooping to Lushy's music. And the surprise 1940's stag film (as a projector test) after the band finished. The bands were top notch. Sven's slide show was entertaining yet informative, as usual. The Hawaiian Eye episode was pure camp! And maybe best of all was the after-hours sing-a-long party: A small suite room crammed with hot sweaty people drinking, dancing and singing at the tops of their lungs. Echoes of the party scene in Breakfast at Tiffany's only without the formal wear and done as a sing-a-long. That mid-day heat was pretty harsh, but those warm nights were just delicious. Many kudos to Otto & Co. for their many efforts to keep everyone happy and make sure all had a good time.

One additional note: We stayed in the "overflow" Terrazzo Inn (a real peaceful & tiny resort) down the street and received 4-star treatment there. Kind of a nice contrast to the crazy vibe that the Caliente had going. It was also nice to have a bit of calm in between with the ensuing hangovers AND their pool is available 24 hours a day. This place is available to rent out all of it's 12 rooms for private parties.
