Alright... based on some good advice... tonight's menu was the Demerara Dry Float and the Gone the Beachcomber, which is Beachbum's version of the beachcombers DDF. Made them side by side... Lemon Hart Demerara and 151, Trader Vics Passion Fruit and rock candy syrups, fresh lemon and lime, and maraschino liqueur. They were both good.... the demerara dry float was more lime flavored than the other... I think the Gone the Beachcomber I liked a little better. Certainly not the instantaneous buzz like last night's selection. Oh, and for the first time... after several tries... I managed to ACTUALLY float the 151! Two more down.... |
