I would just appreciate it if people respected what I did as I respect what you all do.

Are you kidding? You guys didn't respect us. The first post about this whole thing was advertising an event. It was like a hard sell on a cold call. A respectful thing to do when you first meet someone is to introduce yourself. Then you gauge the level of interest. Then you start selling your wares.

In fact, Mr. Dyer, as soon as you saw some differing opinions, you came out with both guns blasting (and, again, without a proper introduction). Reread your first post and you'll see you were quite incensed and a bit inflammatory. And you know what? Coming in here like that only give those people who say "All Flairtenders are nitwits" more ammunition.

I, for one, though, accept your apology. It takes cajones to not just hit and run on the internet, and I appreciate and respect that. I have a couple of questions: Is there liquid in your bottles? Are they all the same weight? Do you have a competition where you don't know the weight of the bottles you have to juggle?

The only problem I have with flairtending is when a really amazing mixologist gets pushed out of his workplace by someone who can't mix a decent drink but can juggle and has more flash. We here at TC have seen it first hand and many of us are bitter about it. I think that's a legitimate beef.

I was going to include my story about this really lousy Flairtender at The Artisan Lounge, but I'm not sure it'll add anything to the conversation. Suffice to say, I didn't like him, not really because he was bad at his tricks, but because he bad at his tricks, took himself waaaay too seriously, and most importantly made really lousy drinks.
