We are also enjoying working with Angostura Rum, and have some 1919 Rum to experiment with- we'd love to know your recipes. Here is a simple recipe given to us by Angostura which we mixed up at the National Television Awards last month to great success:

  • CREOLE COLADA
  • 50ml Angostura 1919
  • 3 pieces fresh lime, squeezed and dropped into the drink
  • 5ml coconut cream
  • 75ml pineapple juice
Method: Shake with ice and double strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a lime wedge.

Here's some more news -Angostura are launching new orange bitters - we have a couple of sample bottles and so far have had lots of fun experimenting with them? What are your favourite recipes with orange bitters - we'd like to know so we can try them out with this new product.

Okay, now we are talking...although, careful using pineapple juice in Mai Tai's. That's another potentially touchy issue. And given the focus, classic and modern polynesian pop, flair will never go over well here. It's just not of interest. So let's stick to drinks. Check out this section of the site for recipes. http://www.tikicentral.com/viewforum.php?forum=10&9527. You can also do a site search for 'bitters'. You might want to really peruse through this section before posting to understand the drink perspective focus of this board.
