Before the 70's all references (i.e. 5-6) refer to the recipe as being gin, cherry brandy, benedictine, sodawater. Most of the pink recipes are for the generic Singapore Sling that was served all over Singapore, and was nothing more than a Tom Collins with Cherry Brandy. Cheers! George
