Most people alive today have either no experience in a tiki bar, or they have had experience in something they thought was a tiki bar and were wrong, or they had a very poor, isolated experience with no reference outside that. Your book made a beacon that showed what it was, or could have been. It cancelled out a lot of bad images. It made us all yearn for the ultimate experience. If Tiki did not exist, we would be forced to create it. And we have. More and more all the time.
