I'm interested in all things mid-century, but especially food and drink. I have a particular fondness for tiki culture, having been initially exposed to it at the venerable Hala Kahiki in suburban Chicagoland. Since moving to the farthest reaches of New England, I have certainly missed it. I won't say there is no tiki here, and I understand there are quite a few active TCers in New England, but tiki has certainly been a challenge to find. I'm happy this forum exists to give a fellow on the frontier a chance to get his tiki fix! -jonvw
