I see your point. I was a bit disappointed on seeing the postcard for the first time. But if you can imagine it very dark with the only illumination from the glass floats, fish tank, and table lamps it was probably quite nice and cozy. And better than many small tiki restaurants/bars I've been in. I think it's a good example of what JT in the Tiki Bar Review Pages calls a Type II.5, along the lines of the Alibi or Bahooka. Sure, it's no tiki palace.
