-My Older Brother..I tell yah! Not only did he tell Me the Bullsh*t story about the "Cursed" NZ Tiki, which incidently, in My dysfunctional family, would of had no impact upon all the existing Curses We lived under, but he brought back a "genuine piece of NZ Glasier Ice" that I kept in the 'Fridge for months & brought out briefly to show My school mates, only to discover that My Mother had defrosted the Freezer compartment of the 'Fridge, one day...& there was the chunk of white Quartz
sitting on the kitchen table! My family came to know several Sons of the "Long White Cloud" Island, both Maori & Pakeha & in 20Yrs of having been a Security guard/
Bouncer in various Pubs & Clubs, I've worked with & socialised with quite a few Islanders in My time. None were really the "Tiki" Collecting type, but they were fascinated to meet a Pakeha who had an interest in Polynesian Culture/History. I also Collect those Japanese Dolls made of plastic with articulated arms & heads wearing Hula skirts & Lais, Hibiscus flowers in their hair, behind an ear, along with old Polynesian LPs & EPs. I search the numerous OpShops & 2nd-Hand Markets of Sydney each week & have obtained quite a few Tikis,Island Carvings, "Coco Joes"
items these past 2-3 decades. Apart from having Irish/French/French-Canadian & German genetics, I also have a bit of Canadian Native blood which makes Life interesting in a Mystical sense...& Yes! I STILL have the original Wooden NZ Tiki that inspired My life-long interest in Pagan Idolatry!!
