"Exotique" was the second song I did for this record ( "Mai tais on the Moon" was the first) and was recorded a few years ago, before there ever was an intent to release anything. Now that I've committed myself to releasing an actual record, the more recent stuff has become more elaborate, production-wise. "Crossing Kileua" pretty much raised the bar on how the songs should sound, so, things like birdcalls and jungle sounds will be added to some of the older tracks as I get closer to finishing everything. Also, as I mentioned earlier, once I get the Lap steel on these tracks (some, not all) it will go to another level. That being said, I love the recordings as they are, but I know I will juice them up before the CD release, so that everything sounds as good as possible.
