Aloha! I'm new to the posts, but come to tiki culture via more than 3 decades of infatuation with Les Baxter album covers, San Diego's Hanalei Hotel glimpsed from the 8 Freeway, dangerous safaris to find Bali Hai's Hidden Tiki, hearing the birds sing words and the flowers croon, shaking Leroy Schmaltz's sawdust-covered hand, and living within Martin-Denny-birdcall distance of the Bahooka restaurant.
