There is freeware for Mac called - appropriately enough - DVD Capture that lets you do screengrabs from your Apple DVD Player app. Also VLC PLayer lets you do screen grabs natively, with just a keystroke - and it will play your DVDs as well as avi and all other major video file formats.

There is freeware for Mac called - appropriately enough - DVD Capture that lets you do screengrabs from your Apple DVD Player app.
