I concur... I spent a great deal of time covering every inch of material with paint but at some point just let go and started working back into the surfaces. Lately, I seem to hit everything with various grades of sandpaper, steel wool, abrasive pad, or buffing compound. Granted, I love the "splatter FX" (heck I splatter, drip, and speckle) but there is just something sublime and organic about distressing. Just let go and feel it! Keep up the great work!
