I wouldn't have any second thoughts at all about putting my surplus junk under their care if they volunteer to manage something like this. Usually the problem is that no one volunteers - in which case something like room-hopping can be fun too, I reckon. But Martin's proposal sounds fun and easy (for everyone but Martin, that is).
