You have to speak for yourself on this one...I loved the "old Sam's." It transported me away from SoCal to a happy place and I thought that's what "tiki" was all about anyway.

yeah...I know "lump it" I wouldn't have been so critical if it wasn't in my own back yard. I sat by idly as The Royal Hawaiian went under, when Trader Vics went under, Tahitian village went under...So where does it stop. I am giving them a chance, I have been back a few times now with the same experience each time...(pretty much what SlapBass said). One thing a good restaurant needs is consistancy and it just is not there yet.
