Well what can I say, I love the Bay area, so much so I can see myself moving there someday. We had a great time on our trip. We did some touristy stuff, to relive some childhood memories, and we saw some great tiki sites! I didn't even come close to fitting in everything I wanted to, but isn't that always the case? Better to go with too many possibilites than to come home and find out about something cool after the fact. On our way up we stopped in Cambria to hit an antique store or 2 and left with an OMC black moai mug, a Tiki Gardens swizzle stick, and a concrete moai statue!

First time tiki spots included- Hula's in Monterey, Trader Vic's S.F., The Tonga Room, the Hukilau, and last but certainly not least, Forbidden Island. I have never felt so welcome in a place I've never been. I was welcomed by many TCers, most of which I have never met...JenTiki, Coco Loco, Conga Mike, Haole'akamai, Mai Tai, and I believe I met Tikiwinebear and Tikitastic, right? The bar itself is amazing, the drinks were tasty, and the company was great. We didn't have much time to spend there, but I can't wait to make it back! Thank you all again for the advice on this post and for the hospitality at Forbidden Island!
