Maybe you're joking but all red glazes being poison is not true.
The glaze I use is totally food safe. Vintage red glazes may have lead in them but the new glazes out are all lead and uranium oxide free. One major company I buy my supplies from resently even removed all of the leaded glazes from their catalogue.
