Mr. Leitwein said that the fire fish were at one time made of plywood.
They were coated with resin.
So those may be out there somewhere.
He also stated that the Kahiki people DID go to the Mai Kai to
get/steal ideas.
Herman also talked about how the bamboo they got would pop like
a gun when it dried and split in the Kahiki.
Also that at least two snakes came out of that bamboo after
this happened.
