The thieves started with an older model Jeep Cherokee with crappy, faded gray paint, broke a window and stole the guy's BOWLING BALLS!!!! They hit mine next, alarm or no, they apparently checked out the cars first, peered in most likely using a flash light, (only way to have seen through my tinted glass at night), knew which side of the car the only thing of value appeared to be, broke the window, reached in got the bag and were gone! Considering my wife and I were on the 3rd floor, around the corner from our car, we both sleep with ear plugs in and how common place it is for people to hear a car alarm these days.....had we had one it may have been a long time before us or anyone else did anything about it....and the thieves KNOW THIS! As someone else already posted, "Isn't that why we have LOCKS? ....to protect our valuables!" Bottom line is that the LOCKS don't help because we have WINDOWS! CAR ALARMS don't stop serious thieves because they know everyone IGNORES CAR ALARMS! IGNITION KILL SWITCHES don't stop car thieves because the ones that really want your expensive or rare car will just drive up with a SEMI or FLAT BED TRUCK and roll it on up....alarm and all!! That's why THIS is the next piece of security equipment going on the Tiki Cruiser..... break my glass or move the car and.....BBRRAAAPP!!!! You're TOAST!! :lol:
