There were WAY too many little sub-plots that were just left hanging (or just got wrapped up too fast)and now that you put it that way, the show WAS bringing positive attention to a beach and neighborhood that needs cleaning up. Look it up on google maps and you'll see that it's not really that big of a place to have the big city style problems that it has. It really IS that last American beach neighborhood before the bottom of the country
