Vegas is all about tearing down the old and rebuilding. I used to get pissed off about it but now I'm used to it. After a while they build a "retro" fake version of what used to be the real Vegas (i.e. Venus/Taboo Cove) but they never get it right. I still enjoy going there but I just keep my expectations low, so I'm amazed when I see the Algiers and Golden Steer are still there. I can't wait until they tear down Excalibur and the Luxor! |
