Okonkuluku! And soon, Okonkulukoolers!

October 25th:

Next week, Thursday, WAITIKI returns to our favorite Cambridge hang - the Lizard Lounge. It's the coolest venue in town for live music, and we're happy to share the stage with Atlas Soul ( http://myspace.com/atlassoul ). This award-winning band's groovy, worldy-pop-jazz-n-funk sounds will make you groove. We are thrilled to be approximately 4/17736-ths (or 1/4434-ths for you math dorks) of their total friends on Myspace.

WAITIKI will go on as early as 830pm on Thursday with Atlas Soul finishing up the evening starting around 10 or so. So, please stop by - besides, even if you hate us, word has it , our new WAITIKI Drink Menu II will be at the show, with a selected cocktail being available for your consumption since our CDs don't taste so good...unless you have an ice crusher.

November 18th:

It's official! WAITIKI presents an Exotic, Beantown Sippin' Safari with guest mixologist Beach Bum Berry - author of Beachbum Berry's Grog Log, which US News & World Report dubbed "the island bar bible." Las Vegas magazine calls him "one of the world's leading mixologists." We call him the Bum and he mixes like no other....and will help us create Tiki in Boston once again (yea, there is tiki here in Mass but we're capitalizing the T this time). Cocktails + Exotica = Okonkuluku.

Tickets are now available on our interweb rumbot at http://waitiki.com/shows.cfm - stay tuned for more details. Ask a resourceful Villager of Okonkuluku at tikicentral.com why this is significant and life-changing for Northeast Tiki. Mahalo to Br. Cleve for helping produce this in conjunction with our killer host venue, Pho Republique. Hell, this venue is so cool, they have a f@#$%^ tam-tam hanging in there for crying out loud! It's like home....South End style. (Funnier if you read up on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gong#Chau_gongs ).

Okonkuluku, and 411 always at http://www.waitiki.com
