Bowing to the environment of the market is just what Trader Vic's never was. An excape from what's outside its doors was the idea. (So I'm told, anyway, and isn't that the idea of tiki bars?)

The big plastic tikis in the pictures seem way too LV and not enough TV.

I was recently at the Beverly Hills Trader Vics and I understand from posts here that it is nothing like what it used to be. But I did like it. A gentleman's tropical club is what I'd call it. The outdoor-theater-size surfer movie projected by the pool was cool.

So the Vegas TV may be an indication that corporate is too liberal with different interpretations of its brand. And none of these interpretations are the TV of old.
