Hooray! I lived in ABQ along the Rio Grande for ten years and the El Vado's sign was awesome. Directly across the street was a Jungle themed Motel with spears and shields in it's signage and decor. Sadly it was demolished before I moved to So Cal. The east end of Central Ave still has tons of great route 66 neon! |
