Found a pair for $4.95 at my local Human Society thrift shop -- shall post a photo when I figure out how.

They look more like African masks than the usual tiki style, a streakyish yellow-brown ceramic, marked KON TIKI PHOENIX. Exactly alike, down to the number of holes, which must have made seasoning with them a bit of a risk. They look new, but the Kon Tiki was torn down in 1993.

Still filled with salt 'n' pepper, to my surprise. La Verandah is frugal enough (or cheap) that she woulda emptied them before donation.

Hmm. Any ideas for marking these in a non-harmful manner so I won't mistake the contents?
