Rum Barrel toss!

I'd be hesitant to toss that Rum Barrel. They're getting a little scarce these days. But I'm diggin' the exotica theme park idea, seeing how I live in the Land of the Theme Parks.

But, on topic... how about raffles or prizes for say, best dressed couple or loudest aloha shirt? Drunkest but still able to stand? No, scratch that. How about a live auction? That would be extremely cool. Especially if it was vintage items being auctioned off. For Hukilau, we can get Sonny (the Mai-Kai MC) to be the auctioneer. Wouldn't that be a hoot?! Nobody would understand a damn thing said, but a splendid time guaranteed for all!

I would pay to have Sonny do my voice mail message:

[Sonny's voice]"Hello and welcome to Swanky's voicemail. I regret that he is not able to speak with you at this time. We have many features to entertain you. Speak after the tone.[/Sonny's voice]

I'd way love to have that!

What I want in an event is the 50 or so folks that were in the penthouse at Hukilau 2004. Pretty much just them, for a nice weekender...

In the end, we're a geek convention. Tiki not Sci Fi. But the same things hold for us. Collecting, discussing minutia of old things. That needs to be brought forward.
