The big difference is here half the people drive too slow in the far left lanes. This just leads to the more aggressive drivers doing stupid things like tailgating and zigzagging. I always leave a safe distance but I get frustrated puttering along in the fast lane because the person if front of me has to talk on their phone or to their passenger while driving 55. In LA they wouldn't stand for it so people either drive faster or get over to the right.
