I just fast googled. It seems that dried orange peels from the oranges of Curacao is why Bols uses the word "dried." I assume dried is proper.

Since you are from the Netherlands shouldn't there be some sort of "trade agreement" with Curacao, Netherlands Antilles? Orange Curacao would be the adopted liquor of the Netherlands.
