A few interesting thrift finds today. These came from two different shops in LA. This first one is apparently Nguzu Nguzu "War God of Solomon Islands". Pretty cool that it still had the tags on it. Anyone have an old Tonga Trading Company South Pacific Collection catalog? I'd love to see what else they offered.

This, I don't know what it is. Looks like some kind of percussion instrument, but I'm not able to really get any type of usable sound out of hitting or scrapping it. It looks like there was some kind of string that came out of both ends. Anyone out there know what this is exactly?
