It's the fat people. Only at Disneyland will you see people so fat that they have to ride in a motorized wheelchair.

People have gotten wider in girth since the 50's. That's a well documented fact. But the reason why there's such a problem with obesity in America is that we've become a nation of over-consumers...and not just with food. Disney knows this and encourages it. Just look at the crap they sell in the gift shops and the food they sell throughout the parks. They're one of the reasons why people have gotten heavier. This in turn forces them to rework the rides to accommodate what they've helped create.

And by the way, our family is going to Disney World (FL) next week for the 3rd time in 5 years. To top it all off, we bought the "meal plan" which means we can eat wherever we want and don't have to worry about food prices. I usually try to keep my weight in check, but this is going to be an ultra vacation-of-mass-consumption. Your welcome, Disney...now fix the damned ride and keep the rainforset!
