They encouraged people to turn the lights off for one hour. Their calculation was that if everyone in Sydney turned off their lights for an hour, it would be the equivalent of taking 48,616 cars off the road for an hour. That's just one city. The movement has gone global and the organization is hoping that everyone around the world will sign up and turn out the lights. The event will take place tomorrow, Saturday the 29th at 8PM.
