Hmmm... I didn't see a stub, nor did I spend much time looking at the instructions. To get the top off, I just got my nails in under it and pulled up slowly. Don't worry about breaking the top; it's pretty sturdy. Too bad it doesn't seem to get that bright. Oh well, it's fun and cheap! |
