Info wanted about this piece of modern furniture I bought - Beyond Tiki

It looks retro to me, but I haven't been able to find much else like it online, except for a coffee table in the same blonde finish. The piece seems to be a laminate or veneer with a pronounced grain. The legs screw into sockets. (Thankfully easily removeable for getting it into my car!) Oh, and it has sliding glass doors. Does anyone know much about it? I'd love to know more about the era of the piece and about modern furniture in general for those who would like to discuss it. Thanks.
