I hail from the tikiless city of Cincinnati, OH. Eh, aside from the remarkable lack of tiki, it's not so bad. Just your average, landlocked bastion of conservatism. Oh yeah, it's humid, too. For years I've been decorating my retro abode with vintage souvenirs from florida/hawaii, as well as with California pottery and other bits of vintage tropical goodness. So tiki was bound to creep into the equation eventually. I'm just beginning to dip my toe into these tiki-laden waters, although I must say I do have a smashing collection of vintage hawaiian togs. Eventually I hope to progress to a full-blown tiki-a-holic, complete with an outdoor tiki bar (Hubby's already got dibs on the bar we'll be putting in the basement). You can never have too many bars anyway, right? Hasta for now! I'm off to continue my lurking.
