Hey Perry- Inlays IS hard! Especially Moai shaped ones.. Did you know that you are only the second person in the world to ever make a 'Tiki-toki' - (as far as I know it is a term that I made up - not traditional you understand?) Congrats and welcome to the club! Im not saying that no-one ever carved a figure/face onto an adze form before (because Ive seen MesoAmerican 'Axe-Gods' and almost identical Chinese examples), but to actually name it 'Tiki-toki'.. :D *I see you are using an 'Inland' diamond grinder - I used to use one of those for dulling the edges of cut glass, back when I used to work as a leadlight window maker; amazing little workhorses! Good to know you're still alive & making Tiki-stuff! Tama :) |
