Even though the Hukilau has been on the calendar for a year, this scheduling conflict is Christie's fault because she didn't email you sooner and/or she didn't respond to one of your emails. Do I have it right so far? And you're doing this as a public service, to expose more people to tiki culture. Am I still following you? Excuse me for being slow but, just so I'm clear, are your intentions purely philanthropic or does this have something to do with the fact that you just opened a tiki themed retail shop and this happens to be the weekend that hundreds of tikiphiles will be in Ft. Lauderdale all due to Christie's hard work and financial investment. I mean, why charge people to come to your party when Christie has already spent the money to bring them here in the first place. But this has nothing to do with money, right? You just want to expose more people to tiki culture during what is the largest, previously scheduled tiki event in the nation.
