I am not an artist, but I still find these types of reference books helpful in understanding some of the work of the TC artists and Tiki in general. This book is wonderful with many pictures (a lot in color) and covers everything from carving to textiles to tattoos. When I look at some of the pictures I see how that history shows through in Ken's paintings and Ben's carvings. Thanks for this great thread Sven...it has been very helpful. It might not change the type of art I am attracted to, but it does help me further distinguish the styles.
