I got a very nice gift from a good friend yesterday:

It's great to see that there are still surprises out there, I never knew such a thing existed.
It is a plaster reproduction of a very iconic mask in Tikidom, everybody here has seen it!
The source of it is one of the few images I used in BOTH of my books....

Does it ring a bell? Do we know where this primitive came from?

You got it, is is a very good likeness of the grim face on Les Baxter's "Ritual of the Savage" album cover!:

In the Book of Tiki I connected that cover with the menu of "The Palms" in Anaheim,
how great to see that it inspired further reproduction.
