Cam, I saw your post about "stamping" tapa. I was playing with fire (firestaff) a few years ago and needed some polynesian print shorts. All I could find was polyester microfiber which will melt to your nads like molten lava if you brush it with fire. :o I ended up making a tapa type pattern on cotton shorts with acrylic paint and stamps made from craft foam. The balsa stamps seem more primative and authentic though, and I bet they wick up the stain well too. |
