Has anyone seen the kids tv show "Yo Gabba Gabba" on Nick Jr. or Noggin? I have a 3 1/2 year old who LOVES this show and goes crazy whenever it comes on. I finally watched an episode last week to see what she was fussing about. I immediately got as hooked on the show as my daughter and enjoy watching it with her. Its a pretty cool show that features ska, punk and indie music and other cool guests.

In its first season, the show featured guests such as Leslie Hall, The Shins, The Aggrolites, Cornelius, Biz Markie, Shiny Toy Guns, Supernova, Rahzel, The Postmarks, Sugarland, Tony Hawk, Low, Laila Ali, Elijah Wood, Mýa and the Salteens. But my daugther's absolute favorite band featured on the show is The Aquabats (Christian Jacobs of the Aquabats is the co-creater of the show) who play their song "Pool Party" on the "Summer" episode. Everytime my daughter hears that song she jumps up and down and dances, and then once the song is over, she makes me re-wind the show to play it over and over again. Mark Mothersbaugh (of Devo) appears often on the show for a segment in which he draws. Biz Markie has his "Beat of the day" where he does beat box.

I just found out that the Aquabats are coming to the Culture Room in Ft. Lauderdale in November. I wish they were playing somewhere I could take my 3 year old because she would love to see them! But I just might go see them without her.
